When Kate Elliott founded Elliott Safety in 2016, she'd spent 20+ years managing major construction projects. She'd worked with dozens of safety consultants and seen the same problem repeatedly: advisors who understood safety theory but didn't understand construction reality.
They'd recommend 400-page safety manuals that site supervisors would never read. Complex procedures requiring daily documentation that site teams would ignore. Engineering controls that cost more than the project budget allowed. Theoretical perfection that wasted everyone's time.
